Why did we have to rush the "stimulus" bill if Obama wasn't going to sign it for four days?
Anyone notice that the Dow tanked by almost 250 points on the day Obama did sign it?
The government really has very little to do with the economy. They can affect how people feel about things (see the panicked investors) but they can't improve or destroy the economy. They just aren't that powerful. Clinton did not create a great economy; the tech folks did that. Bush did not destroy the economy; it was the result of a lot of bad business decisions (okay, the government had a little to do with some of that, but individuals have more responsibility) Obama will not magically fix the economy with this bill.
The economy is all about cycles!!!! It is natural. But please be responsible. It is not the governement's job to pay for your mortgage or your 14 children!
