So it is MLK day so no school. Being the responsible teacher that I am, I scheduled a dentist appointment today so I wouldn't miss school. It was at 8:30 AM. What was I thinking? According to the dentist, I was starting to have gum issues (since I dont' floss). So I had to go in for a scaling/planing. Yuck. Actually, it turned out my teeth weren't as bad as they thought so it only took 30 minutes (versus 60) and they only charged me for one quadrant. The numbing shots hurt like the dickens of course and then didn't wear off until after 2! And now my teeth are aching. Poor me.
So since I didn't feel like doing anything that involved getting dressed like a normal person, I decided to clean the house. The master bath toilet has had this scary looking black mold in the tank since I moved in. I finally got up my nerve (and some heavy duty gloves) to scrub it out. Half a bottle of bleach later, I think most of it is gone. Yuck.
My cleaning spree continued. I noticed the filter in the back of the dishwasher was icky. So I took it out. And then another one. And then a third. They were disgusting! Soft, sticky brown goo. White, crusty goo. Ugh, it was sick. So if I die tonight, you'll know it was from either dishwasher goo or toilet tank mold. But after lots of toothbrush action things are finally cleaned.
I also scrubbed the shower and vacuumed the whole place, including the stairs! I need to go back to school so I can stop working so hard! :)
