Olympic Addiction

Oh, whatever will I do after this weekend? I love the Olympics. Wait, not love, LOVE! It is 1:18 am and I am watching men's volleyball just because it is on. I just looked up the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. (I think I'll be off-track. Who wants to go with me?) That's right I'm addicted. So, some observations:
  1. Our gymnasts rocked. I love watching Nastia (I know I spelled that wrong). She is a beautiful and graceful athlete. (Why can't gymnasts dance? I swear, someone get a dance instructor for these girls. I don't know how many I saw almost fall pirouetting on the balance beam. Find your center!) I even enjoyed watching the men's competitions and usually I don't bother.
  2. No way those girls are 16. And seriously, IOC, why would you trust Chinese passports?
  3. I've watched some pretty weird "sports" this week. BMX biking? Is that really a sport? And rhythmic gymnastics? Didn't they at least do flips and cartwheels at one time? Now it's just dance. I almost agree cheerleading should make the Olympics if some of these activities are now allowed. I do enjoy synchronized diving!
  4. Speaking of which, I'm going to become a diver. I say this every time I watch the Olympics. But I want to get a job diving at the Mayan. (it is a restaurant in UT themed as a jungle tree house with a four story diving set-up)
  5. I'm sort of depressed. Yeah, there's the 41 year old swimmer but I think I'm past the point where I can realistically ever be an Olympian. I haven't been this depressed since I realized college football players were probably all too young for me to date. Tear.
Okay, Mom has informed me it is now 1:30 am. There is a reason I don't have internet at home. I get way too sucked it. Now I'm off to bed/watch more volleyball.
